A routine that fits your pool
Every pool has its own rhythm. A busy family pool in summer may need more attention than a covered pool used occasionally. We look at your pool's size, condition, equipment, surroundings and how much care you want to handle between visits.
Weekly and fortnightly visits are options, with less frequent servicing considered where it suits the pool. Monthly visits are not a substitute for checking the water between appointments. We will explain the upkeep your chosen schedule still needs.
What a regular service includes
Your quote sets out the work for your pool. A routine visit can include:
- Skimming the surface and removing accessible leaves and debris.
- Brushing suitable pool surfaces, steps and ledges, and vacuuming the floor.
- Emptying skimmer and pump baskets where safe to access.
- Routine filter cleaning or backwashing, following the equipment instructions.
- Testing the water and discussing any balancing chemicals needed.
- A visual check of accessible equipment and a simple update on the work completed.
Know what you are paying for
Regular maintenance is quoted for your pool. The service fee depends on the time and work needed, your visit schedule and access. Chemicals are additional and agreed before use. Your quote separates the visit fee from these extras so you can compare the total properly.
A pool that needs a substantial initial clean may need a separate first visit before routine maintenance begins. We will explain that upfront. A heavily neglected or green pool needs an assessment rather than being treated as an ordinary maintenance visit.
Simple communication after each visit
You should know what has been done without having to be at home for every appointment. We provide a visit update covering the completed work, any chemicals used and anything that needs your attention. Access arrangements are agreed in advance, including gates, pets and the equipment area.
Our maintenance service covers routine pool care. Equipment repairs, electrical work, structural work and pool-fence compliance inspections are outside this service. If an issue needs another trade, we will flag it so you can arrange the appropriate help.
A few useful answers.
Do I still need to test the water between visits?
Yes. Service visits are only part of a pool-care routine. Water conditions can change between appointments, so we will discuss the checks and simple upkeep you should continue at home.
Can you maintain a saltwater pool?
Yes, routine care can be planned for a residential saltwater pool with working equipment. Tell us your filter and chlorinator type when enquiring. Specialist repairs or replacement parts are outside our routine service and need an appropriately qualified provider.
Can I change my visit frequency?
Ask us to review it when your pool use or circumstances change. We will consider the pool's condition, the care you can do between visits and available appointment times.
